Analyzing and Visualizing Real Time Data for Operational Efficiency in Lai Manufacturing Plc
In this project, I utilized Power BI to analyze and visualize real-time data from Lai Manufacturing Plc, aiming to tackle key challenges such as:
Production Downtime: Addressed breakdowns and maintenance delays.
Optimizing Processes: Streamlined manufacturing processes.
Unmanageable Reports: Simplified reporting systems.
Inventory Management: Enhanced raw material management.
Supply Chain: Improved coordination with suppliers and distributors.
Key Insights:
✪ 'Material Shortage' and 'Human Error' caused 34.7% and 34.6% of downtime, respectively.
✪ Washing Machine had the least downtime (5 hours); Diesel Generator had the most (6.5 hours).
✪ Production peaked in August at 102.3k units.
✪ June had peak employee performance; July was lowest.
Recommendations:
✪ Improve inventory management and training, enhance technical support.
✪ Focus on reducing Diesel Generator downtime.
✪ Analyze factors for success and address issues from lower months.
✪ Enhance energy efficiency through equipment upgrades and renewable energy.
✪ Replicate successful strategies, support lower performers.
